Quite a few years ago, I spent a weekend in Paris visiting friends. I was having a miserable day on my own, exploring the city or rather, the mid-life crisis I was going through at the time. I found myself in Montmartre and visited the Sacre-Coeur Basilica, which I found too large and grandiose for my mood. I then wandered into the medieval church of St Pierre de Montmartre, round the corner. It is the oldest church in Montmartre.
Whenever any important business has to be done in the monastery, let the Abbot call together the whole community and state the matter to be acted upon.
The UK Oblates Team are a small group of volunteer oblates from various monasteries who, since the first World Oblates Congress in 2005, have formed a team to act as a conduit for information for oblates and thus established this website for oblates and monastic communities, who may wish to make use thereof.
